Here is a great video by the WRI that summarizes most of the major threats facing the reefs and how we as individuals can change our behaviors to impact global change.  The video uses some cute animation of corals and reef animals to illustrate the fact that it is not simply an coral bleaching issue but a much larger problem with the potential to collapse an entire section of the marine food chain.  The video is narrated by Céline Cousteau and is so short and so cute that you MUST forward it on to your non-hobbyist friends to increase awareness of the importance of sustainable fisheries, buying the right types of seafood, and supporting local businesses who make their money off reef education and protection.
