Hey, Suppliers, You Should Package Everything With This!

Goldfish_bubbleOk, so it’s actually just a concept right now, but I know I’d definitely use this amazing bubble wrap on everything I ship – work related or not! Japan-based designer Daisuke Akiyama (feel free to click the link, however, it’s all in Japanese) filled the bubbles with tiny goldfish replicas, creating the illusion of tiny, adorable fish bowls in an effort to deter people from the addictive act of popping the bubbles. I’m not sure what exactly he’d be trying to accomplish with that goal – but my guess would be to prolong the life of the packaging, thus making it reusable and reducing waste. Whatever his reasoning, it’s ridiculously cute. He’s  marketing the idea to manufacturers, but I think he should throw the idea our way – I know at least a few people who would bite the bait. I'm a New York Reef Enthusiast and Fish Nerd, amateur photographer, dog lover, beer brewer/drinker, cocktail mixer, semi-seasoned chef, Prosecco Indulging, lightly foul-mouthed, slightly antagonistic, sorta-artistic, wordy bookworm of a girl. Dog mommy of three, an Abyssinian dubbed "Mau", plus one Dwarf Cuttlefish and a few Clarions. I have a tattoo of an Octopus with flowers on my rear. I ride my bike to the beach and sip bourbon with a good (reef) book while watching the waves. I like to think I'm witty and charming - but I'll let you decide.
