The Pacific’s Mariana Trench is home to the world’s deepest fish. This deep-sea snail fish  has been found at 5 miles deep, the deepest depth any fish has ever been found living to date. This little 6 inch long snail fish with its translucent body and eel like tail was found by using bait to draw it to the deep sea camera. Although the video was taken, the scientist were not able to take the specimen to study further or even to name. So we will have to wait in suspense for more information and subsequent trips into the deep for more information on this very cool snail fish. MORE
