i have the biocube 29.. i love the hood on it no questions. Has anybody attempted to gut the hood of a the biocube and add the evergrow in them( the acutally unit not just the leds). Also how far up do they have to be? can they be at the same height as the compact florescent from the biocube or do i have to get a hanging kit. thanks

I probably wouldn't put them there, they would be like 2 inches from the waters surface. You wouldn't really have good spread and would probably be very intense for your corals. Another favor would be all the heat trapped inside the hood.

I have the same lights and I hang them 8 inches above my 36g. I only run the channels at 10% n have great color and growth
