can anybody tell me what these weird tubular appendages are which have been starting to pop up in many places around my tank? The have been multiplying in number. My tank was a FOWLR until I added a multi-coral rock in late May/early June.
These things seem to secrete some sort of stringy stuff every once in a while (or debris just clings to them, not sure). Are these things some sort of nuisance organism? What to do?
Tube worms I believe they're called. I just reach in and pop them off. BC the strings get caught up in m corals. But it doesnt hurt them. Just looks bad.
Just watch the amount you are feeding. They will multiply in number based upon the amount of available food for them to eat.
The stringy - spider-webby things you see and them throwing 'nets' out to catch food that is in the water column, they then reel that back in and eat what they've caught
