Soapfish ID

I've had this guy for several years and have always wondered his Latin name. He was sold a as a black soapfish but he is more of a brown with cream colored spots. I got him because I had never seen one like him. He is about 3 to 4 inches. I know the picture isn't the best but he is so hard to get a picture of. Whenever he sees the camera or phone he will hide and not come out. He was always really mellow with smaller fish till he decided to eat my pin tail wrasse. Now I don't trust him and I'm thinking of finding him a new home but would love to know exactly what he is before I do.

That's one of the more common Soap fish. Check under Rypticus saponaceus or any of them that are in the Rypticus family.

that was the closest I've seen but none of the pictures looked exactly like him. All the pictures on Google are mostly Brown and he is mostly cream. there is a lot of variety in coloration but the amount of cream made me think that wasn't him.
