i believe i have this but with much thicker branches. yours is or had receded from the base. probabaly due to neglect of water par n/or low flow from where u got it.
the brown should turn a greenish tint.
i dont know the id either.
yeah it was kept in a decent tank where i got it and not under mh. but within 2 days it has started to fill out with polyps, and branchs are about as round as a finger
