I have an 8 bulb t5 for my 110 tall. How long are you guys keeping your whites on and your blues?

I have whites from 9am to 7pm (10 hours)and blues 7am to 9pm (14 hours).

Too long?

i always had whites for 10 and blues for 12

IMO I think 24 hours is lot to keep on your lights on for. If im not mistaking lights should be on for 10-12 hours a day.

The Whites are overlapping the blues. It's not 10 plus 14. The blues start 2 hours before the whites and shuts off 2 hours after the whites.

I dialed it down to blues 9a to 9p. And whites 10a to 8p. 12 for blues and 10 for whites.

Wondering how do you know when it's time to change bulbs.

does anyone have the unit to check par levels? i was wondering if anyone could come by and check my par at the bottom of my tank. I dont mind paying if necessary for gas and time.
