Hello We bought a beautiful piece of green monti with red polyps . we were wondering what would be the best place for it to be after it acclimates? On the sand or rock ? hi medium or low ?Were running 3 x 250 de ushio 14ks and 8 x 39 watt actinics all on ice caps.
depends how deep your tank is, but with 250's and assuming the tank is around 24 inches deep, you can put it pretty much anywhere you want. It will encrust on a rock if you put it there, which is what i do for the most part.
as for flow, just make sure you have enough that detritus doesnt settle on it.
Thanks for your reply Sounds good Tank is 21 Deep lights are about 10 inches above the tank so with rock and sand I can get it anywere in between. thanks again .
