Forum Structure
Participating clubs are hosted on the Reefs.com server network. Clubs have both their own local forums and certain "shared" forums that all clubs participate in. The shared forums are generic discussion areas more geared toward advanced topics.
Clubs make use of up to 10 local forums that they define that are strictly for their members or visitors from other clubs. These forums do not show up anywhere but on the local club domain. Each club will also see Global Forums in their forum list. These are forums that span all of the clubs on Reefs.com. Global Forums are typically run by a reef expert and moderated by the Reefs.com Global Admins.
How does it work?
Clubs who join Reefs.com maintain control over their local club forums. "Club Admins" are selected by the club and are given tools to manage their online forums. Tools available to Club Admins:
The selected Club Admins have the ability to nominate "Great Threads" that will be displayed on the Reefs.com homepage as well as participating club homepages. Global Admins manage the list of Great Threads and can reject a thread or remove it when the content has been deemed "expired".
Forum Imports
If you have an existing forum, we can import user accounts, forums, thread and posts from the following forum applications:
What does it cost?

That's right, it's free. Reefs.com is designed to alleviate the pressures of running an online forum for your reef club and what could be better than FREE HOSTING?
Reefs.com generates revenue to maintain operations through banner ad and vendor forum sales. Each club is given 2 vendor forums for free (you can resell them if you want), but each additional vendor has to pay a set annual fee for their forum. That keeps you away from the headache of dealing with forum renewals and you can focus entirely on your club, your events, and your optional user donations, which are yours to keep.
That's It!
