i used a website called metalbytheinch.com i was able to customize the dimensions of my aluminum plate and it was cheap. i got 72x12 .190 for $98

thanks Anthony. I decided to use 1/8" rivets and they worked great! really it was Jermeys idea

The Rack is almost fuly assembled it cost 35$ to build so far.

it will hold 1 x 250w MH reef optix pendant and 2 x T5 retros with room for 2 x 10" or 12" power bright led strips or maybe the true lumens. also it will hold 2 small led moonlights. all in 36x18! I already had the retrot5's and the lumi so its a quick and easy upgrade for me.

I just need to order a hanging kit , and a couple of 3 wire m/f clips for the t5's.

Ill paint it tommorow. whats the best paint for aluminum that wont flake into my tank?
