Has anyone tested this skimmer yet? I have not bought one for my new 90 gal + 40 gal breeder sump and I am leaning towards this.
Others have told me ASM G4, Vertex IN 180 and SWC Xtreme 200 (NOT CONE)

Ive heard alot of good things about all of SWC's products, but havent had a chance to try them out yet. My friend used a vertex 100 for a while and loved it as well.

I am sure they are better than an ASM. I have a G3, it is a good skimmer, but not great. There are better skimmers and I am sure Octo's and SWC's are better.

Where's everyone getting their SWC skimmers from? I am trying to decide between the SWC and the bubble magus. Does the cone shape make a big difference?

I don't have personal experience, but from what I've read and can deduce from the reading, pictures, and specs, the SWC is much better than the BM.

Same for me, I've had mine for a few weeks now and its running great. Good foam head and pulls out lots of dark skim. I highly recommend this skimmer, its quiet, easy to set up, and breaks in quick.

wow.. when did the price on these skimmers jump so high? Last I was looking, the price was around $225-250 for an SWC 160 cone.. now it's up to $370. :Yikes: That actually makes the BM more attractive in comparison.

The SWC does look better, but not THAT much better.
