I don't think it's that bad, but I find tr mp60 quieter than the 40. Could just be way had them set up too

The mp40's are ridiculously loud, mp60 are way quieter, but still annoying on some of the modes

i got mine last nite

i have 3/4 glass and it holds but not to strong, so thi sis my high concern at the moment. I think i will be purchasing special extra bracket to sleep well..

So far i play with Gyre for 15-20 min and i like it.. i just need to find a right space for it as of now i have 2xmp60 on oposite sides and 2xmp 40 on the back.

Do they sell a special bracket for 3/4 glass ? Reason I ask is I have 3/4 glass and was thinking bout getting 2 for Christmas

Mine quieted down after 24 hours. It's still makes noise but not as loud. It says a 2 week breaking in period.

How guys placed it, horizontally or vertically?

Mine is placed Horizontally about 4-5 inches from the surface. I would like to try the vertical orientation but my rather large and obtrusive overflow boxes kind of make Gyre motion in that orientation unworkable.

I just setup pulse mode a few minutes ago and I think I like it at @ 10 sec. interval.... we'll see.

This isn't some Chinese company that has horrible reviews in other products. This is maxspect the makers of there reef octopus and high end LEDs with great customer support. I think it's a good chance they will be fine
