Does anyone know a vendor that carries breeding pairs? Since my scooters have been going at it I have wanted to raise the fry. I don't think it is possible yet with the scooters but maybe a Banghai Cardinal or Neon Goby would be possible. I have also considered Sea Horses but am not sure yet, I still have alot of reading to do on their care. If you have any insight or vendors let me know. If you have a proven pair I would be especially interested in hearing your thoughts.

Harrison,
I think that Inland Aquatics sells mated pairs of some fish, including Banggai Cardinals. Note that a single banggai costs 19.99 and a pair costs 49.99. They're more because of the selectiveness of the fish. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they have a very high success rate with mated pairs.

I can't be sure that that's true, though, I just think I read it somewhere.

i'm not sure if these pairs are breeding or not. I thought mated pairs were breeding but they aren't at any place I've found.

I bought four from the LFS to try to pair up. If that fails I will try one of their pairs. They are 16 bucks a piece with no shipping so if I can get them to pair up it will be cheaper in the long run.

Inland Auquatics is the only one I have found so far with pairs. They are a little more expensive that way, but I am willing to pay the bucks as long as I can come out with a pair. The good thing is the LFS is going to let me bring back the ones that don't pair up. I am starting with 4 right now. They have ousted one already. Three on one side of the tank and one on the other. I will give them another day or so to see if they bump another one out. If not I will take the single in and get another to really mix it up. I have gotten really interested in raising the fry and have been reading like mad. I may even swith my 70 gallon FW to SW just to give them a little more room and privacy. We will see how things go first. I have had my Ranchus and Lionheads a long time. They came from my ponds at my old house. Guess we'll see
