coolpix 995 (off topic-sort of)

i borrowed a 995 from work 'cuz i was going to order one but wanted to try it first. after a day of getting acquainted, i put it on a tripod and set up in front of my reef. my results were disappointing. i used the manual focus and macro mode and still they came out out of focus even though they looked focused in the lcd.
has anyone had any success using the 995 in macro getting acceptable pics of their reef?

Quick Settings:
Zoom halfway until the "flower" turns yellow, and use autofocus.

whoa, very nice. those are awesome compared to what i was getting. yours have much more DOF.

guess i'll order one. they are down to $489 now.
