I would definitly find a way to paint the back. I find everyone loves their tank for a little while and then change it. I left mine for two months, then it got all moved around. You'll always be happy, unhappy, happy, unhappy etc... etc... Good Luck

I would be very happy if I were you. Your tank looks very nice. And you have left ample room for things to grow, thus making it look even better.

Patience, young one!

try getting some more live rock in order to fill in the tank. look at pictures of tanks on the web and see how others do it. remember to focus on the live rock structure and not the corals :D . ive alwaysed liked the look of patches of live rock with gaps in between. in fact, when i upgrade from a 75 to a 125 im prob. not going to get any more live rock, just split it into two or three piles with spaces in between. experiment.

PS i think this is the first time i have ever heard of someone being unhappy with a new thank 8O.

FWIW, i think you have plenty of rock.

just a matter of preference.
your sps will grow in a natural fashion filling in the gaps. like Louey said, "patience". placing digitata or some kind of staghorn type sps on the upper shelves of that rock will fill in any blank spaces at the top.

i am learning to leave things in their place and it seems to look more natural because of it.
i rearanged my tank a couple months ago and have been regretting it since. i can't seem to recreate what i had (mostly because i sold a rock out of it).

lookin good, i would black out the back too, if not paint do it with that mylar type stuff they sell for it.

I think that it's looking pretty good, although I would prefer a little more rock too. Maybe you can try to make more arch's and caves?? Also, for a background I think the best is to go down to the sewing store and buy some material thats the color your looking for. You can drap it in behind and it looks excellent. This way you don't have to paint your tank, if you ever sell it...most people don't want it painted.
I felt the same way when I started mine, and a lot of it has to do with the coral's size, what till they start growing and I don't think you'll feel the same way.

It's look fine...stop whining. ;)

As far as your aquascaping...right now it looks like a wall with a few holes in it, IMO. I would make it a little more dramatic--maybe one large mound nearly reaching the surface, with a little "tail" trailing toward the other end. Don't be afraid to have some open spaces, and don't think you need to provide some sort of fireplace mantle to show off your corals. Make it dramatic and hap-hazard and the corals will do the rest.

Your unidentified coral looks like Palythoa(Sea mat) to me.
