to sum it all up heres the problem

Tang and puffer got in a fight (more like tang beating on puffer) so we get rid of the tang but not before they have it out one last time.

Well since the last fight puffer just isnt himself at all, there are no visible marks on him but he hides now behind the rocks which he never used to do. You have to lure him out with food, he will stay out long enough to eat then go back and hide.

I dont know whats wrong with him and how to make it better. At first i thought he would just be skittish until he realized the tang was gone. But its been more than a few days now and he just seems to be getting worse.

Any help would be gretly appreciated. Im really worried about the little guy.

More details, please:
-- Anyone else in the tank?
-- What do you feed your puffer, is her tummy still growing?
-- Tank size, filtration, temperature, lights (intensity, duration), areation, how often do you change water ...

Some puffers can be very timid and after going through what yours did will hide for a long time. Gradually it will come out more as it readjusts to the tang being gone. My guess would be that it already is out more by the time of this post.
