Colts do this. That's why I GAVE mine away. Unless you just love the way this coral looks, it'll grow to equal the size of youy tank!

My tank look Spotless of algae beacause is a new set up and i use to clean the inside glasses weekly, casually today i clean the glasses and thats why it looks so neat. Next time i going to take a picture of my tank with dirty glasses and you dont going to say the same. Louey you are absolutly write, this thing was growing on my 55g tank like a sea monster, so i bought this 125g and start to fragging this creature. Im selling very well the frags, i use to sell two frags and bought one Acro, I thought that is a good business. Ralphyhp.

Could you explain this rubber band / tooth pick technique for attaching frags to rocks.

I have always used the bridal veil and rubber band technique with varied success. I have a green tree which is ready for some clipping.

Hong long does it take for the colt frag to attach itslef to a rock. I tried the wedding veil for 3 weeks and it didn't work. Now I am trying the toothpick and rubbernband method. I have had it in there for 2 weeks now and just wondering how much longer should I wait before trying to remove the toothpick.

Thanks

Hi friends, hope this site will help with all yours questions: http://www.eparc.com/coral_prop/soft.shtml. Joey French i cant send you a coral to the USA from Puerto Rico i need a live animal exportation license, Rob_reef_keeper with perfect water parameters one to two weeks, but if you already have some frags with toothpicks on it be patient and wait, you going to notice when the frag is attach to the rock, try eparc.com. Your tank and that colt looks very nice, I like the coloration!

FWIW, you dont have to remove a toothpick from the coral depending on how you set up the frag. I have a colt coral I fragged like this, and what I did was stick the pick in the base of the coral and clip it off up close to the base in front of the coral. For the rear part of the pick sticking out, I add a little super glue and shove that end into a small frag of LR. Then, it wont matter if attachment takes awhile you can just glue the whole LR frag in place and let it go. My colt has now overgrown the toothpick around all edges and fully attached to the LR. It took mine about a month to get a solid foothold. Also, I didnt use wood TP, I used the plastic ones that dont break down in water.

your tank is NICE and well stocked.
