This wrasse is currently in my quarantine tank, but I am not sure what it is. Its appearance and behavior would indicate that it is a fairy wrasse of some sort, but I have been all over the place trying to pin down the species. The fish is maybe 3" long, so is probably immature, making the ID more difficult. The only thing I can bears any resemblence is a Lubbock's wrasse. Any ideas?

Sorry that the picture is not the best quality, but it is tough to catch these in front of the camera. They just never stop moving.

It looks to me a bit like a Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura aka Blueheaded Fairy Wrasse. It comes in many different colour variations.

I went to Fishbase.org and looked it up... there are many different pix here of the same fish :

Not sure if it's yours, but looking at the black spots, the pic I have of the bluhead has a black spot too...

Pretty fish ;)
