Hi guys.

This evening my blue tang looks wierd without any reason, all his fins are straight up and he's swimming fast and looks mean but there's only a clown fish in his tank and the parameters are ok ammonia, nitritos and nitrates 0, calcium 400 P.H 8.2 and normal alkalinity...temp 78 F ... why he's acting wierd, any clue? is it normal?

Thanks

How big is the tank?

Hate to be the one to ask that, but that is one of the most important questions to ask with most tangs....

Were there any changes to the tank in the last couple days? such as water changes etc?

How long has he been in the tank?

Thats an odd one, maybe a parasite of some sort, if nothing visable on the outside possibly inside? eating more than usual, eratic swimming, dont know somthing irritating him sounds like.

Did you happen to clean the glass when you did your waterchange??

Occasionally one of my tangs will catch his reflection in newly cleaned glass and get very aggressive, darting around with his fins up and generally acting in a foul mood.

He gets over it.

My scribbled is the same way. Totally freaks out when the glass is clean and clear.

You were 100% right! That day I got out all day long then my room lights were off and because of the black "background" he could see his reflection... good to know. now he's normal again swimming around very happy.

Thanks guys
