Redid my nano tank a few months back and just wanted to put a few pics out there.

First time with SPS and so far everything is doing well. I've seen lots of growth in a short period of time. Granted they are easy SPS but I'm still happy.

I have two kinds of birds nest, some other easy SPS, Duncan and some Zoas. Duncan is growing about 4 new heads in about 2 months.

~10lbs rock
~10lbs sand

Chemipure elite
Filter pads

I do a very small water change once a week. Takes less than 5 mins.

I bought a coral vue smart ATO but never set it up. Lol.
My wife tops it up for me daily. A regular Poland spring sized water bottle filled with rodi lasts me about 2-3 days for topping up.

I actually broke down my tank to go bigger but changed my mind so I'm setting it up again.

Very nice
I am picking one up soon from member here. I like the scape you did. How did the clowns do in the tank?

They are doing great. The rocks and light came from a company called ultrabrite.

I will update my build since I started over so more pics to come.

Good luck with yours..There are some mods I did that I think was necessary.

Also, get an ATO. I was manually topping off but picked up a coralvue smart ato and it changed my life lol.. I fill the reservoir once a week as opposed to topping off daily.

Few things I did:

1. Bought the Stevie T Surface skimmer. It costs about $5 but it raises the water level in the tank and allows for better surface skimming.

2. In the bottom left of the filtration wall, there is a small slit. I used a piece black plastic and some super glue to cover this up.

3. I wanted more flow in the tank without powerheads so I drilled a hole in the left side of the filtration wall and placed a second pump in the rear compartment where the filter media goes. So now the tank has 2 output nozzles. I've seen some people upgrade the stock pump to a mini jet 606 and then use the Stevie T media basket in the filtration chamber. I went with a second pump.

I am going to start a new build thread soon.
