I haven't picked it up yet as he is still out of town. They should be mint since he used them a few weeks (maybe 2 months) and then stored them from what I figure.

i have another question. i just added a onzonizer by redsea today and the skimmates foam is darker and thicker then ever!!! my current water parameters are:

nitrates- 2ppm
orp- 305

its only been running for a few hours, do you think i can get away with my current skimmer? lmk

Steve from the O3 research I did most people said that skimmer production went nuts for about a month with O3 then dropped dramatically. It also depends how much you run the O3, I would suggest in very small amounts.
you will have to wait and see what happens with the skimmate. Also the O3 is not removing anything, it is just breaking down the organics, which is what the skimmer is removing now. I'm sure Dave told you all about that though
What people were afraid of is that after a while the skimmer was not removing the organics being killed by the O3. You will have to test your water to keep an eye on the No3 and Po4. I know it means you have to use your test kits

i have my orp set @400 it currently holding @335. i'm dosing about 50mg per/ hour. i just checked my nitrates its still holding at 2ppm.

Don't over do it Steve,
Most guys out here dose only about 20 mg p/h and these are systems that are anywhere from double to triple your water volume

Damn, this thread made me want a bubble king. The only thing that worries me is the customer service.

Why not get the bk300 instead of the 250, it onlys a few hundred more?

Also, have you decided if you want an internal or external?

They are coming out with a new BK red dragon 2 pump that works like a stream, you can adjust the water flow. Talk about being able to control how much your skimmer skims.

I went with the 250 because the bubble kings are the most accurate out there when it says good up to 800g it means 800g not a 400g that you double the gallons of your tank like other skimmers
